I downloaded a pdf.file called Getting Started from this web site. It has great instructions and great pictures. -- www.loomknitting.com -- and it is free. They also have different patterns and other instructions both for free and cost. Good Luck, EW

Okay, I think I can help b/c I love those things that is how I first started out knitting. Okay the peg that is not even on the circle and sticks out do a slip knot there. If you use a thinner yarn then wrap 3 times around. If it is thicker you just need need 2 times around. Okay now to start you just start with the peg to the left of the peg sticking out not even with the circle and wrap it away from you and under peg and then go to the next and wrap it away from you and under the next peg. Once you have the 2-3 times around depending on thickness of peg, you then just wrap the yarn around the peg sticking out just to hold it there do a slip knot if it makes it easier to stay on there. You then take the tool that came with the looms and pull the very bottom row over the top row(s) all the way around. Once you have finished pulling all of the bottom row of yarn over the top row(s). You then take the slip knot that just holding the string there and start once again with the 2-3 rows and just repeat until it is the length that you want the hat to be or tube scarf. Good luck, I hope that this broke it down easier than those instructions b/c I found the instructions hard to read as well and asked my mom how to do it.

So these instructions don't do it for you?http://www.macphersoncrafts.com/HelpfulTips/kniftyknitter3.asp
Try a slip-knot for the first peg, then wrap the thread around each of the rest of the pegs once. It will be quite loose, but it should work.
Look at this picture (you will have to scroll down to see the picture.)http://www.macphersoncrafts.com/loomknitting.asp
The way the thread is wrapped around the pegs looks like I have described.
Good luck with your knitting projects.
