So its happened the last two periods for no reason. The last one I thought the problem was caused by a stupid attempt at an at-home wax (which left my skin bruised and hurting like holy hell). Only this time its coordinated at the same time and by nothing.

It hurts down there. Bad. 24/7. Not that bad when i'm sitting around, but when I wipe or wiggle around it burns on the lips. I have no idea why, I was thinking a yeast infection, but would it be timed with your period and then just vanish? I was considering it was the pads I bought, but I've gone through so many different kinds I really doubt it could be that. Its just a persistant pain that starts from 2-3 days before I start and ends right when it ends. Sex is out of the question, it feels like sandpaper being rubbed all over. Ow. I am taking Estrostep but I doubt it has anything to do with it, unless being on it for over a year has any effect. Help?

Sounds like some serious irritation and it most likely is too your pads. I know you have changed different kinds, but make sure they are not deodorant, this will cause some serious irritation for most woman. Second try another brand or if possible try a tampon. I had the same problem and actually had to go to using tampons because I was allergic to pads.

I doubt if you have a yeast infection. However, watch what your washing with and call your doctor if it keeps persisting. Good luck to you

Maybe your pubes are poking and rubbing against the sensitive skin of your labia causing tiny little cuts and tears and when your vagina's PH changes a few days before your period and during your period, the acidity is causing your lips to burn. If I shave or wax down there I usually get a little bit of irritation do to stubble or on the flip side, if I wait too long to shave I get irritated lips. The combination of being on my period and irritated lips = burning, burning, and did I mention burning so bothersome I want to dig my eyes out?

Since I can't say that I am completely sure that you are having the same problem I have here's what I would suggest:
1. Switch to tampons.
2. Wear breathable cotton panties
3. Take a bath or shower twice a day
4. Trim your pubes ( not too short!) if they need it
If they are really short and pokey, there's nothing you can do but wait until they grow out.
5. Make sure you aren't allergic to the soap you're using.

Ouch! Sounds like a bladder infection, not a yeast infection. Try over the counter medicine like AZO standard or AZO bladder infection (you can find them next to Monastat). Try it for a few days along with some cranberry juice and if it helps.
