Sorry must vote for Eric Johnson. His chord progressions are tremendous. Throw Malmsteen in the mix and it's tough to beat. G3 was a guitar lovers dream come true.

That's tough as they both are very good in their own ways.
Joe sounds quite high tech where as Stevie is more mellow and romantic sounding.
Just depends on what you're in the mood for.
