it's tough to hide without creating a second account. by checking the profile of the one you suspect has a new alias, you can pretty much tell that this is the same person you were originally stalking. that's pretty common knowledge for the experienced user, so i don't feel i've alerted the stalkers to these facts. some of my "friends" i can even spot under different user names due to the nature and tone of their "?"s.
