Well you didnt really ask a question, but... Nightmares are normaly some kind of emotion you were feeling before you went to sleep or in the recent past. My guess is something changed in your life recently or you are stressed out. Nothing much to do about it unless you can reduce the stress intake. Ironically, to reduce stress I would say to get more sleep and get more nightmares in the process =D

Drink a big mug of cocoa before retiring and then read the jokes of Tommy Cooper and Les Dawson off the Internet. Trouble is you will be giggling for most of the next day!

Dreams are very rarely literal. It probably means (without more depth) that you are feeling insecure about certain people and decisions you are having to make in your life and fear that it might lead to severing your 'roots' You further fear the uncertainty that some of these decisions may or are making to your life. Your mind is telling you to have strength, as you have more than you give yourself credit for.

Dreaming about the death of a loved one, suggests that you are lacking a certain aspect or quality that the loved one embodies. Ask yourself what makes this person special or what do you like about him. It is that very quality that you are lacking in your own relationship or circumstances. Alternatively, it indicates that whatever that person represents has no part in your own life.

Try relaxing and destressing before bed. Meditate, read (something romantic, funny, happy, but not scary), focus on good things before bed. This can help steer your dreams away from the scary.

Go to bed with a happy mindset. If that fails try to think about dream control while your trying to sleep.
