I have these jeans, that I absolutely LOVE to wear. I haven't had them too long to just give up and throw them away.

I really love these jeans. They fit perfectly. I would just go and buy another pair, but I went back to the store and they don't have them in stock anymore.

Anyways, a hole started to form right in the middle or my jeans awhile back so I sewed them up the best I could. I then only wore them for a little bit and the thread started to break and now the hole is bigger than ever! I thought about putting a patch there, but I figured that the patch would just make the pants bunch up in the middle and look kinda weird.

The only idea I have is to give up and never wear them again or wear a thin pair of cotton shorts under neath.

Maybe a fashion diva or somebody who has had a lot of experience with this or sewing can help..?

Get a iron on patch from a fabric store and iron it to the inside of the jeans.

Good Luck!

Put a patch on the inside, and carefully stitch it up, trying to match the original stitch lines wherever possible.

Use a piece of denim about the same color as the jeans, so that if it shows through a little bit, then noone will notice. Use the same color thread for the stitching, and if you take your time (use pins to hold it in place while sewing, this will keep it from bunching up) you should be able to get plenty more use out of them.

Good luck!

I wouldn't put an iron on patch on them. Instead if they are as dear to you as you say, I would take them to a seamstress who specializes in repair. They are worth the money if it is something that you really care for. I have repaired LOTS of jeans over the years for a hubby and two sons. Repair is more than just covering the hole. You don't want to lose that feeling you get from the way that they feel when you have them on. That makes them special. Good Luck.

you could also make them more you but using either a sew on or iron on patch that is your favorite disney character for example, you can even add others in other places to make them look the way you want them too, not only will you be repairing your pants but you'll also be personalizing them.
