Question for lab technician?

we knew that grey tube is used for glucose test, but why SST tube can be used for glucose as well ? the former with anticoagulant, the later without it, so big different? I am studying lab test in school, got confused. thank you for your help.

I NEVER USE AN SST TUBE FOR GLUCOSE - I ALWAYS USE A GREY TUBE
