Because we are two unique individuals, though from the same parents.
When a parent or teacher says something like that to a child, it is just frustrated talk. It's not fair to the child or helpful to the child's development. Better to spend some time understanding why the child is or isn't doing something, and from there, find a way to help the child change his/her behavior.
