Why is this guy a "moron" for posting something that appears obvious to him? It just goes to back up that argument that the most sexist people in America are women, not men.

Anyways, it's not JUST for ugly women, it's for all women. It just appears to be the case that quite a few of the ones who are more radical or more pioneering with feminism are not up to the beauty standard of just about any culture.

The answers to the above four questions are "Probably not."

Sure, I guess you've got somebody like Gloria Steinem who some people would say is attractive, but most of her comments aren't as misandric as the comments that the ones who get the most attention make. For a list, look at this page:

Unlike a number of the people on this board, some of us are dedicated to TRUTH. If the noteworthy feminists of history don't appear to be particularly beautiful or even desirable, then saying so should not be so heavily frowned upon or fastidiously denied.

Excuse me?! I am a Women's Studies Minor and let me tell you right now, I am 5'2 a size 6 with blonde and hair blue eyes. Feminist rallys arent Miss United States competitions and it takes a very confident woman and a very mature and respectful man to not look at superficial beauty. Also, most major rally's took place during the Suffrage Movement, those women had extremely hard lives and make up wasnt really invented in the sense it is now. These women who conduct these rallys stay up all hours, go to different cities and care more about other people than they do looks.
I really question your intelligence because a question like "Is feminism for ugly women?" is utterly ridiculous.

Gosh, and the in trouble-free terms reason a lady would ought to question the way society is administered is because boys do not imagine she's highly? How do you experience about it at the same time as women folk shaggy dog tale that your in trouble-free terms cost is in the size of your wallet? ok, now multiply that through, oh, say 1000%, and also you'll get why women folk fall ill of being dealt with as besides the undeniable fact that their cost is all of their looks. smart people of all kinds search for to question issues. I, for one, have continually been attracted to human rights, and feminism especially, and that i have not had a issue getting dates. in reality, I had sufficient dates that i ought to ask the guy if he grow to be professional-decision and respectfully decline if he grow to be no longer. people regularly attempt to discredit a collection at the same time as that is suggestions lead them to uncomfortable - the leading thanks to attempt it is through calling women folk "gruesome". that is not any longer truly innovative, and that is not any longer a sparkling theory, both.

I'm sure there are attractive feminists, average looking feminists and not so attractive feminists.

Robinson posting the pictures forgot one important factor...isn't beauty supposed to be in the eye of the beholder? I personally thought that the first and last woman were pretty average looking, they weren't ugly. I always find it very ignorant when people who believe their views are somehow universally true, when it's just their own personal opinion.

How someone looks has nothing to do with their views and beliefs. It's easy to generalise, but it's not so easy to be open to different possibilities, especially when your views are already set in stone.

Take care : )

Feminism does not have a face only a brain. It defines anyone who believes that women should have 1) autonomy 2) be able to make choices in her life. Without feminism women would not be able to own property, vote, go to ivy league colleges and make choices as simple as long skirt or this belt as a skirt. There are many many "beautiful" women who are feminists; the word has been made dirty by the patriarchal forces that want women to have no choices at all.

It's certainly for women who need a crutch. I've been through 20 years of life and I've never known an active feminist.

The uglies have nothing to lose by insulting men so they vilify men without guilt or fear of repercussions. (Most either inherited their wealth or obtained it via divorce or the threat thereof).
Prettier women realize they can still get a lot of what men offer so are a less vocal and vociferous, even if they have the same mindset as the diesel-fired tarantulas.

First of all, you are a moron and you must just be asking this question to get a rise out of people.

Perhaps hardcore feminists are trying to make a statement about society's ideal of beauty - by not conforming to it. Women subject themselves to all sorts of painful beauty rituals and hard core dieting to meet the "ideal". The ideal of beauty in the U.S is unrealistic and just another way of devaluing women's place in society.

****Be careful ladies this freak will email you and insult you if you respond negatively to his question.
