from a parent standpoint the internet is a very scarey place. Something that we have no control over, we can keep the bad guys out of the front door, but we can not keep the creeps off the internet, and there have been some kids who have done some very dumb things and made it look bad.
Now what you can do, is talk to him, and take steps to make sure your keeping a low profile, you can set some things on the privacy setting that may help ease his mind, also talk to him about why you have the profile, networking with friends and such. Go into with a mature attitude and you may see a difference. Good luck

The movie "Human Trafficking" is not fake, Myspace can be fun. For those who have no bad intentions it ruins it for everyone. Your dad is probably more freaked out than your mom because most of the preverts on there are males; dad has a male mind; he scares himself that actual people are thinking such about you, his daughter, lol.

Because there are a lot of perverts and pedafiles on there looking for young people to prey on. They act like they're younger too, and talk you into meeting them. Just don't ever give any personal info that they can locate you with!

As long as you are very careful, nothing bad will happen. Make sure that you only have friends that are your real friends and not some random person that asked to be your friend (most of those are scams anyway).
