JUSTIN WAS INTERVIEWED BY RYAN SEACREST AND JUSTIN ADMITTED THE SONG WAS ABOUT "A GIRL FROM HIS PAST" BUT WOULD NOT SAY WHO. RYAN SAID THAT EVERYONE ALREADY KNEW IT WAS BRITNEY AND JUSTIN RESPONDED BY SAYING HE WAS GOING TO PLEAD THE 5TH. IN OTHER WORDS...YES IT IS ABOUT HER

lol I think I'm kinda split I mean if u listen to the lyrics especially the remix it really sounds like what they went thru in a way I think it would be kinda funny if the song was about her cause she kinda did get what she deserved in my opinion. I mean I would feel the same way he does but also its kind sad on his part if the song is about Britney since he is with Cameron now he should be past all that...... Not really fair to her to keep making songs about his ex.

I'm guessing so and I will tell you why. I saw the video. The girl in it not only looks suspiciously like Britney, but also acts very much like her. The fight in it also reminds me of the one in Britney's "Every Time". Also, there was a Brit-a-like in "Cry Me a River".
And while he chuckles a bit in the song, he looks on horrified as his "girlfriend's" car becomes airborne just before it crashes. In one of Britney's videos, she drives an airborne pink SUV.
He rushes to her side after her crash, so if the song is about her, it's really quite bittersweet, since she's had her come uppance, but he isn't all that pleased by it.
