I think you are a bit confused over "freedom of speech."

Disney has every right to release "Song of the South." That is their FREEDOM.

The have apparently CHOOSEN to yeild to the self-appointed "PC Police."

A law BANNING the distribution of "Song of the South" would be a denial of freedom of speech.

Disney has a habit of releasing those films every couple of years of so, i think its seven years for the cartoons. It to capture a new generation of movie goers. And of course to the $$$. But i am sure since they are releasing many old films like that this movie wont be far behind.

I sure hope they do release it. I like that movie

Not in this country. Sad too, because it is a great movie. It is available though. Overseas and not hard to find online. Try a newsgroup devoted to disney or disney movies for a start.

It's not likely. ANY film which depicts slaves as being happy with their lot is poison these days.
