Very little, as they are 500 miles apart.

Both have warm weather, but San Diego will be a little cooler as it is on the coast. Hayward is about 10 miles inland from the coast (albeit not far from the San Francisco Bay)

neither is particularly humid and precipitation will depend on time of year, summer for both is warm (up to 80's or so) and dry, winter is cooler (50's to 60's) and wet (Hayward I think is supposed to get about 15-20 inches of rain in the rainy season.

Hope this helps

San Diego and Hayward.. well.. they are both in California.. lol..
San Diego.. hands down has the best weather.. No humidity in Ca.. very seldom.. I've lived here 40 yrs. Climate in SD is the best.. Hayward is close to the bay area.. and not bad..but I'm thinking.. and I hate to slam Hayward because there are some nice areas.. but they have problems with crime more than San Diego.. Also.. If your thinking about buying a home in either area.. I think SD is on the more expensive end.. Good luck
