Can you take a song that is saved as a Windows Media file and upload it onto your I-Pod? I heard that you can only put liscensed music on your I-Pod...is that true? Also, Can you take music from a burned CD and put those songs onto your I-Pod?

you cant put on windows media files on your ipod you need an itunes music file you can put unlicensed music on your ipod and to put cd music into an ipod insert the disc and rip the music in itunes and then just drag and drop into your ipod

I know that yes you can put music that is on a burned CD onto your Ipod. Just be sure that you know what songs are on there. Because the track names won't come up and you usually have to write the names of them in. But do that before you sync your Ipod. Because otherwise they will just be called Track 1 or something like that.

ya you can import any music to your ipod - there is a option in ne of the menus to import music to your itunes library and you will have to locate it with an exporer that will pop up and then import. you can also use music from a burned cd - it just wont come up with song names - you will have to type in the info youself.

you may take windows media flies and transfer it to itunes then transfer to your ipod. The only thing is these songs can not be license protected.......
