Why are black men so fascinated with white women?

It doesn't seem to matter how beautiful, smart, artsy, or clever a black woman is, black men seem to always want to gravitate to the white chick. The white chick can be as dumb as a block of bricks, overweight, or even poor, but somehow they win the prize. I just don't get it. Somebody help a sister out.

These guys will climb over a stack of smart, classy great looking really nice black girls to get to a flabby white chick with blond hair.

I believe that there are black men out there that truly love black women. I also think that black people were conditioned to think that everything good is white. Its embedded in our psyches. Back in the fifties or sixties, someone did an experiment where they gave black children (boys and girls) a white doll and a black doll and asked them to choose the best doll. Nearly every single time they chose the white doll. It was repeated recently, with the same results. So it remains something that black people need to overcome. Some black men may feel like "I've arrived" or "I'm somebody now" if they have a white woman. They have issues they need to deal with. But some men have progressed to a stage where they just see a woman, not her hair or how thin she is or the colour of her skin. Black women need to seek out those men (black or white or other) that love women for who they are, regardless of colour, men who appreciate a woman for her intellect and inner beauty. Leave out the jokers who want only a "trophy" when they look for a woman. Note: it helps to have your own house in order, so a woman has to cultivate her own inner beauty and a beautiful spirit, because this is what will attract a good man.

Because a lot of black men wish they were white men. they won't admit it and some don't even acknowledge it but deep down inside, they want what the white man has; his money, power, status and even his white woman. The black man will forever have the problems that he has until he gets a back bone and act like the strong black king that he is and not the sell out sambo fawning from the mouth for white woman like savages. This is the same man that wonders why no one including his own black sisters respects him. How could we respect someone especially as a leader when they are so weak mentally and are quick to just give up all together and get a white woman? You can't respect a weak minded person like this, especially as some sort of leader or role model.

Why do white people feel the need to answer questions like this when they have no clue about whats going on and when we start talking about how black people became like this, they start to get defensive?

Most black men I see are with black women. White girls have low self esteem so they try to hype themselves up to be the standard of beauty. Even the white man doesn't want white girls anymore. They are running towards the Asian girls. I'm engaged to be married to a fine black man and when I say white chicks try hard to get his attention when we go out, it's funny. But he's not interested. In his younger days, he used white girls which is seems what they are good for lately. Not all but SOME. But he wouldn't dare settle down with a white girl. You can say what you want, but the majority of black men would not take a white girl home or make her his wife because they have nothing to offer a black man. I mean, blow jobs on demand can only go so far white girls.

It's not facinationit's just that they have less to deal with when in a relationsip with a white woman.

I'm a black woman i know that definately not all but some black women just don't know ow to keep a black man happy. They continue to dwell on the things that other black men have done to them in the past and make this new brother feel like he'll never do anything right.

Some black women need to learn to let go and move on. these men want a woman who isn't stuck on the past but wanting to move on with their future.

I'm a black woman married to a puerto rican and black man. I know that if i was to always nagg him about how guys did me in past relationships and how i feel he might do me the say way we'd never be togehter and he'd probably leave me for someone who won't nagg him.

Doesn't have to be a white woman it could be another black woman getting the new satisfaction of your man and having him being facinated with her!

That is not true of all Black men, however the beautiful, smart, clever Black female may intimidate the Black man, especially if he is not her equal in terms of education and socio-economic status.

Most sisters don't want a Black man who would be with a dumb white woman with no education, and bring nothing to the table.

ok, so more black men are dating white women - why is everyone making such a big deal about it? not all black guys go after white girls. at the mo, there are a lot more black guys with black girls than with white girls. if that makes u feel better. it seems black girls keep asking the same thing about this, leave the brothers alone, u can go for a white guy or something it really doesnt matter so get a life!

Stop viewing yourself by what you are and start viewing yourself by who you are. Someone made by GOD for a wonderful purpose.

The world isn't going to change. You're more than likely are not going to find that answer that satisfies you completely. You can accept the advice of some of the people who say its self hate or black men want to be white men if you'd like but, that would be taking the advice of an ignorant fool.

Not all Black men are fascinated with White women. White women are just women like Black women but society (the White man) has put White women on a pedestal. In every magazine, TV shows, beauty pageants the standard of beauty is White. If you see a woman of color she has to have something Caucasian about her whether it's her hair or her skin tone. Black men only see the White standard of beauty, most them think that long straight hair and fair skin equals beauty. Since most Black women don't look like that naturally they run after the biracial or light skin girls, or they just go for the real thing which are the White women. I don't think it's just Black men but mostly all men of color, I know a lot of Latinos, Asians, East Indians that praise White women instead of their own. I think that all women can be beautiful, but society is so focused on Caucasian looks that it's hard for people to see beauty beyond that. Look at gorgeous Black women like Iman, Liya Kebede, Gabrielle Union, Sanaa Lathan, Lauryn Hill, Oluchi Onweagba, Yasmin Warsame, Naomi etc...
