I'm so upset about how the pens just let their streak go to hell like that! They basicly gave up the whole game after they let the islanders work the pens out of 3 goals and I just can't understand why crosby thought he could be the hero at the very end, knowing full well that Hunter was right on his a$s, which lead sillinger to just shoot the puck right past fleury!
I'm a very upset pens fan!

Well, After 4 Assists, And given the 9 times out of 10 Crosby is not going to be even slowed down by someone like Hunter, let alone lose the puck to him, It seemed like the right thing to do.
If anyone going to be the Hero, It's going to be him, and Therrien has actually been actively encouraging him to do more of that type of play because he's often been too conservative.
They always give up these big leads, its what they do, They need a better defense, trying to blame it on someone with 4 points in the game doesn't make much sense when Fluery should have stopped him and Defense should have been supporting the attack to start with.

Hey relax everyone, The streak had to end some time. The PENS have given themselves some breathing room for the playoff run. Crosby will still make some mistakes but he will be creating more glorious moments in the PENS near future. The team will growm from this and remember they have won a lot of one goal games in the past 16 games.

LET their streak go? What game were you watching? Are you also forgetting they PLAYED A 3 o'clock GAME YESTERDAY. Some dumbass with the NHL scheduling was BEGGING them to lose this when it was set up. I don't get why they didn't have the game against Washington set for Saturday. Heck I can see not having the Pens play a late game, since the Pitt Panthers have a basketball game tonight. This was a poor schedule though. Seriously are you a bandwagon fan, or just too upset to think clearly? If you are a bandwagon fan then no use trying to explain it. As to Crosby trying to score what did you expect him to do with less then a minute left in a tie game? Players don't play for ties. At least not GOOD players. A team that plays to put it in OT is doing that because they can't win in regulation.

I am also disappointed in the loss. Especially with less than 30 seconds left in the game. None the less it was a very soft goal given up by "The Flower." He has been making those saves during this streak. Neither goalie had a great game today. Good game to watch and would have been even better if the good guys would have won. Another tough one Thursday when they go to Florida to visit the Cats. Always a tough win for our Pens down there.

Yea i'm a a little ticked but hey, it was a ridicoulous run, what like 28 out of 30 points in the past month? We had been playing sloppy for the past week so i expected us to lose at some point

the pens really didn't give up. i'm not pens fan or an isles fan but i was watching the game and i really thought the pens outplayed the isles and the only reason they lost was becaue of fluery. he let that last goal go. he let a couple other goals go that shouldn't have been goals and crosby had hunter beat dipeitro just made the save. so they really didn't give up...yet again..i was routing for them to loose..so i am happpy

My husband is also very upset right now because of the game. Take comfort in knowing that they are still amazing and that this was just a fluke. They just need to learn how to keep a lead.

Thats why the Pens arent odds on favorites for the Cup. While they've scored a lot of goals, they've given up a lot because they have a hard time holding the lead.
