I live in South Africa and as much as itis called the rainbow nation people are still divided the unity is only in theory many white people still stick to themselves and so do black people...but then why is it that we black people always complain about white people not mixing with us...I'ts like we are so yearning for their approval and acceptance...i mean why cant we just carry on with life and not care so much about their opinions....I dont know am I being racist?

It is hard to tell. I think what I hear is someone who has largely overcome racism, who is wistfully wondering why more people have not. If you look at the history of South Africa, you will see an abundance of racism on both sides. It has made things very difficult there, I am told. (I haven't been there) Needless to say we have plenty of racism here too.

No and I agree with your statment. Why DO we feel like we have to prove ourselves to whites? Why is it, when a white person looks down on something does it become negative? All of us, black and white, should just live our live and not worry about what somebody else is doing.
