what is a good vacation spot that a family can go to in the North America. Somewhere that isn't too expensive and has activitys for kids. Thanks for helping me, because I need ideas.

Well, you asked, so hear it is: CAMPING!!!! Wait, before you freak out-you can 'car camp' without too much of a hassle. You can go to Yellowstone, many camp sites in the park. You can choose a campsite that 'rents' family cabins (cheaper than hotel) and not have to bring so much camping stuff. Ive been camping with my family for 19 years, and it's created some of the best memories.

you could go to the west coast of michigan during the summer. For my hooneymoon we went to silver lake sand dunes south of ludington MI. It's pretty neat. If you want to camp there you can or if you want to go to a resort there is a resort there too (located in mears). There is the white pine historical village taht can be neat for kids to see an old firetruck, school ect....they have an icecream parlor. Then there is Mac Woods Dune rides into the dunes, little sable lighthouse...which you can go swimming in lake michigan too. You can also rent a jet-ski, sand boards, dune buggies, ect. then up the coast is big sabel point lighthouse that you can hike 2 miles too....that is very beautiful at sunset!
Another thing is if you go up the coast you can go to mackinac island. It's really neat and you can take water tours of local light houses. The island itself has a ton of bike paths since no automobile is allowed, they have horse and carriage rides and is just a really neat little town. There is also a fort on the island and on the main land. On the northern Pennisula side there is a place called the mystery spot. Kids might like it cause it's pretty interactive ($7 for adults) however my husband and i thought it was a waste of money for us! oh and you can rent bikes where ever you go.

We really enjoyed it, but there were parts that we thought we would like better if/when we have a family to take them back there.....also there is a car fairy from Manitowac Wi, to ludington MI that was neat to take (it was 160 for both of us and our car one way) the rest of the trip was fairly inexpensive.

i really enjoy going to hilton head island in south carloina, ive been going there with my family ever since i was 3 and now that im 13 i still love going there the ocean is beautiful and the weather is usually always sunny well hope i helped!
