A pad is fine but a tampon is much better. It won't move around of slip. A pad might come lose.

Personally I would wear a tampon. I play softball in the summer and I used to wear pads, now while I play I wear tampons because it feels like a diaper and is very gross feeling wearing a pad. Tampons give me really bad headaches but I deal with it for the time and just take tylenol.

Trust me! Use a tampon. I ran track with a pad once and it was awful. For one, it kept coming loose and i was nervous the entire time I was running ( i used to run distance) and for 2, you sweat a lot when you run and more so down there and it smells. USE A TAMPON.

Because of the way you are moving so much, for sports I would suggest a tampon so you don't have to experience an accident.
If you are uncomfortable with a tampon, try to find one that is comfortable, maybe a smaller one.
The other girls on track could help you with this.
Good luck with your running!!!
