how can I make a copy of my pictures on my own printer?

They either need to be digitally stored as a file on your PC or you need a scanner to save them to file format.

You cannot make a duplicate of a printed photo or document with a printer alone.... unless it is a multifunction printer with scanning capabilities.

You need a scanner. Or go to the library.
