Ask them if they were ok!

I have been the person crying twice.

the first time about 17-18 years ago. I was trying to get to my doctors around the corner and I was shocked because I had not got the energy to walk there and did not feel fit enough to drive. Two elderly Gentlemen saw me and one went to get his car to take me. I was rushed to hospital from the doctors with pnuemonia.

The second time I was crying because I could not remember how to get home (a mental health problem that I won't go into now) someone came and looked through my mobile for contacts, and then it was sorted. I remember these incidents because I really appreciated the help I received.

At the end of the day if I was crying and did not need help - I could have said 'No thank you, I will be OK'

So in answer to your question I would certainly stop and ask if there was anything I could do.

I do and have, asked a crying person if they're OK. There's no other way. I have always had a positive response and once the woman even hugged me and cried for a few minutes and was very grateful for the comfort.

It depends on if i knew the person as I'm quite nervous of comforting people as i never know the right words to say. Also if i was crying i would want to be left alone and I'd get embarrassed about the attention. If they was really distressed I'd try and find somebody else who might help them.

well the world we live in today i think most people would just walk by and think nothing off it,

It all depends on the situation .

Say it was in the Middle of the day in a town Centre i wouldn't say anything , but say i was out in town at night time where everyone is Clubbing then i think i would go over to them and see if there OK.

Its all down to the Situation ,

Answer this ! Would you go over to a big White skin head with Tattoo es and talk to him if he was crying or even a Big black guy with long Dreads ?

I don't think you would. :)

Would totaly depend on the sutuation and if they were alone etc. But i would most likely try to see if they were ok and see if i could do anything.

But ofcouse in this day and age i would have to keep my guard up encase it was some sort of con either a ploy to get money or a trap to mug ya etc. Sad state of affairs but realistic.

I'd pass by - I suffer from depression and often cry. and I always just want to be left alone. I'd possibly catch there eye and give them a smile, but I wouldn't bother them.

As a human being, I would have to walk up and ask if there were anything I could do to help.

(Like Rob, I would keep my wits about me, especially if it were in a dark or remote location. You have to use common sense. If I sensed danger, I would keep my distance and call out, "Hey, do you need an ambulance or the police?")

It depends on the situation. If they were just crying, I would pass them by, cuz its none of my business, but if they looked like they were hurt and they were crying, Id approach them and see if they were ok.*

Pass by. People usually cry in public for attention or maybe they can't help but to cry and if that's the case, they won't wanna be bothered I'm sure.
