Ok, so i just installed a game on my computer. It's all done with the installing part, but when i go to play the game, a little window pops up saying I need DirectX 8.0 or higher to play the game. How can I install Direct 8.0, and where do I get it from?
Plz, I am begging for your help!

From what I know, dx is a graphics type thing a ma bob. It's not a virus or anything that will harm your computer. If you have an old computer you might need to upgrade because, even though dx8 is very old, your graphics card might not be powerful enough to support it. Graphic intense games require dx to run.

you can click on start and select run and type "dxdiag"
it will start the directx diagnostic tool. it will tell u more about what directx you got in your computer.
