I say this because over a conversation the fact came up that people consider the "white" community more intelligent than the latino or black community.

Well actually stereotypically...YES the white community will be more intelligent and/or have better grades, thus getting them into college easier. I'm a minority, and of course there will be times when a minority will stand out for better or worse, and the same for a "white" person.
But reason being..it goes back in history..minorities have typically made it to america with very little or no money to start off with. So to begin with, many of the first minority families, could not afford good schools for their children, and/or had to pull their children out early to join the workforce and support the family. Again we are going with the average minority vs white family. While many white families were a little more comfortable did not have to pull their kids out of schools, and could afford better teachers etc. etc.
It's that whole concept of the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. Of course some poor people will strike it rich, and some rich people have no drive in life and/or make stupid decisions and become poor. So overall the white community will have students with better grades and etc, just because over history they have had easier starts and etc. But this is why college give preference to minorities when it comes to applications and etc. It's a fairway to help society a big, it happens in the workplace too, it's called affirmative action. But this is why white students are more likely to go to college then minorities. It isn't just grades and shcool, money as well..a lot of monorities over white families have a harder time affording college.
I worked hard in school, my family worked hard to go to school and work to get me a good education, I went to college, and I have a good job now and hope to continue down my family line. It's just how it goes.

it seems only oriental families value education more than caucasions.
apart from the fact that most latinos are poorly educated, unless american tax payers paid for it, most american africans are
uneducated and therefore much more violent even to their own community. why do afro-americans make children without seeing that they are educated ?

look at africa. they massacre each other with machetes.
they cut off the breasts of women, and arms off of children.

read something of history and you will learn this has been going on for centuries.

why ?

why did they never learn anything of engineering, like how to make an efficient pump for water ?

did you know that the w.h.o, under the auspices of the u.n.
discovered that mexico has the highest rate of incest on the planet.

you tell me

tus dias de los muertos and ju ju en la dominica republica no me hace creer en la inteligencia de africanos.

of course whites are better educated and more intelligent.

show me one country in africa or central or south america
that invented the light bulb or a computer

it's true that white people are more likely to go to college, but it's not because their smarter. the fact of the matter is that many white families seem to be in better financial situations than minorities. for many minorities teens their parents didn't go to college, therefore they make less money, live in poorer areas, and have a less chance of attending secondary education.

it's true more white people go to college because it's a dominant group in this country, they aren't necessary more intelligent.

non-white groups have less people and hence minorities. let's say you have a 100 organges and 20 apples, 10 percent of the organges is 5 times more than 10% of the apples, so you can't said one race is smarter than another just because it has more people..

Well, because more white kids do go to college, but its not because they are smarter its because more of thier parents acan afford to send them. You dont have to be smart to go to college. You just have to have money. If you have no money, then you have to be smart (or at least a good student) to get a scholarship. That is unless you can bounce a ball well or run fast.

No, we're not more intelligent, but we are more likely to be able to afford college due to severe economic disparities. That's why this German/Irish American contributes to a fund that helps blacks afford college. America helped me and I'm proud to be able to give back...

"merely imagine if someone proposed a quota to diminish the variety of...Asian pupils in suited Universities." Your post shows how ignorant you fairly are of truth. There are already steps to diminish the variety of Asian pupils in distinctive universities. How might want to you no longer know this? Ah! you're a conservative.

the facts are what they are. intelligence, in descending order, just off the top of my head, goes Asian, Indian (India Indian) white, spanish, black. and if anyone says "well i know smart black people and dumb asians", that's meaningless, what matters is the big picture, not a few exceptions.

I wouldn't say they're more intelligent. I'd say they have opportunities that others don't: better families, better finances, better environments, better schools, etc. That makes them lucky, not smart.

NOTHING to do with intelligence. It has to do with connections on their part and a lingering institutional racism on the part of a lot of admissions people.
