I want to get my nose pierced, but I want to know, does it hurt? and what happens when you get a cold? No preachy "don't do it" answers please!

All piercings hurt, but to what extend depends on your tolerance to pain. Usually your eyes will water and you will probably feel a stinging sensation, but it should be done and over with very quickly and rather tolerable. For the following 1-2 weeks your nose will be sore overall, this is normal, but be sure to follow the aftercare instructions you are given and you shouldn't have any problems.
If you get a cold, its not a huge deal. If the piercing is still healing, just up your cleaning to one more time a day and definitely use sea salt soaks. If you do get a cold, I doubt you will have problems other than a little irritation in the area from all the nose blowing, but if you do become concerned, see your piercer.
All in all, its a very simple piercing and heals up in about 4 months. Go to a reputable piercer and take care of it! Good luck.

it brought a tear or two to the eye above the piercing. is annoying while blowing one's nose. I ended up getting a straight post with a little nub at the end. I bought one of those cheap ones from clairs boutique it didn't go all the way through my nose (didn't know it) then needed to get repierced, don't make that mistake. bottom line, I never take it out. buy a really good stud that you can live with for a while it sucks and hurts more to switch out than to get the initial piercing. at this point cant even imaging ever changing it. ouch.

i've had my nose peirced twice. once professionally and once by my own peircing gun, no i wouldn't say it hurts. it feels like some body flicked you in the nose really hard. its the after feeling that kinda gets you. like it made my eyes water, but not from pain really. i also remember when i first got it done, it got snagged on my blankets when i slept and that did hurt! especially when it gets snagged and you lose it, then when you try to put it back into the hole it really hurts cause it's like its started to heal again on the inside. so it feels like your repeircing it. sorry i don't mean to scare yah if i did...just telling you my honest experiances! kissing was kinda hard too. cause my bf's nose would snag on it too... i guess that depends how big of a stud you have or how big your nose is. i liked having it though. but i had to take it out cause i got 2 babies and didn't want them to pull it out. good luck...and get done professionally!

Yap it hurts! on sum peepz its soooo cool but on the outside world 1 ear pierced on both ear is the only thing that seems to work so DONT DO IT!

i might get my tongue pierced back, I took it off yet might get it back. It did harm like hell for some hours and that i saved biting on it yet i do unlike abdomen simply by fact anybody has that, and that i do no longer wanna be a follower, nostril it harm like hell and that i replaced into bleeding lots so I took it off for pastime. Lip, is a eighty's element. and that i've got by no potential seen a eyelid piercing. yet i might get a marilyn Monroe piercing however, seems stable.
