Binghamton, of the schools you chose, is probably the most competive. All three are good schools, though. You may, therefore, want to pick the school based on which you think is a good fit for you. That way, you'll be picking the school you'll likely do best at, and you know that your grades and the courses you take are going to be very important to your med school applications.

One does not usually major in "pre-med", anyway, despite what another poster said (and most med schools prefer that you NOT major specifically in "pre-med", but instead major in something broader, like biochemistry.) Pre-med is a track or program, but one majors in a subject, like history or biology. The pre-med program is there to help you make sure you're taking all the right pre-requisite classes for med school, helping you get the right sort of interships, and helping you prepare your application. So if your school offers a pre-med program, that can be a bonus, but it's not necessarily the be-all, end-all to your decision. In fact, I've attached an interesting article about philosophy majors who are pre-med.

To the other poster's point: A lot of students end up not liking Queens College because the students there are dead serious. They are absolutely not there for the social life, although there is some fun to be had. They are there to study. It's also kind of a commuter school, and that has an influence on the feel of the campus.

Stoney Brook is on Long Island, and attracts a lot of students from Long Island. Binghamton tends to attract more students from outside its area. Both are residential schools, which means there is more of a social life on campus than at Queens. But because so many students at SB are from LI, there is a tendency for them to go home on weekends, which can cut down on the social aspects. Binghamton, because more students come from further away, tends to have more life to it on the weekends. The students there study hard, but there's also a social aspect that isn't matched by the other schools you listed.

Hope this helps.

Of the 3, Binghamton is the most exclusive so your degree might look better, but Queens (esp. queens honors) is in NYC so you have access to more internships, labs and medical resources and med schools.

Binghamton (my alma mater) 1
Stoney Brook 2
Queens 3
But if travel costs are an issue, go closest to home, so you can save on bus fare, and room and board, to possibly live at home. You'll get a good education at all 3 colleges!
