Democrats would never cut off funding. That would make any losses in Iraq there responsibility instead of Bush's. They would have to be really dumb to cut funding, as then Bush would say, " I could have won the war if Congress had not cut funding for the troops." Dems will more than likely take further actions to push Bush to change course, but they will not cut funding. Only the most left wing of the Dems supports cutting funding for the troops as an option. if Dems do cut off unding for our troops, I am giving up on both parties and voting for Eric Cartman

They might win that argument in the next 2 yrs but once a democrat president is in office and we leave Iraq.Iran will take over that region.I predict the democrats will have to attack Iran in the next 6 yrs.OOOOoo the irony of politics.I'm not a bush fan but the democrats are ignoring the real reality of an Islamic jihad.Where are the democrats screaming for Darfur???? They spent 10yrs bashing bush about Iraq. They cant even help in Darfur?? , as for bush playing with the lives of US Troops for his personal benefit. That's exactly what the democrats are doing with our troops right now .Trying to use the Iraq war for their political benefit, both are guilty of doing that. The fact is this war is bigger then Iraq and Bush, the radical Islamists and radical Iranians have been screaming death to America for many years before bush and during WW1 and WW2.The democrats and republicans have tied our military's hands for years now, that's why Iraq is in chaos, since our military hasn't been able to crush the enemy.Watch the news both parties will use our troops for their political benefit.Support our troops, there is a real enemy. They didn't blow up the trade towers because of Bush.

The Democrats would never cut off funding or bring the troops home prematurely. They would lose the election in 2008. Anyway, Bush, as commander in chief would override anything they would do regarding Iraq. I am for bringing home our boys but we must do it properly and not allow a bunch of idiotic politicians manage the war. If the Democrats do anything to hurt our boys, they are all dead in the water. They should even run in 2008 because they will surely lose.

Well, if the Dems are willing to play with them, why not Bush. If I was Bush I would, as their Commander in Chief, have a moab dropped on the Congress while both houses are insession. Then have navy SEALS go finish off the survivors if any. Why not, since so many anti-Bush people whine all the time about him being a dictator. He should show them what it will really be like under one. Firing squads for a few thousand protestors would shut them the hell up pretty darn quick.

Hmmmm... are you severe?!... We destroyed the government of Iraq and by ability of international regulation we can not bypass away till there's a central authority in place to guard the folk... the actual subject is.. that a super sort of the folk in the rustic are of one faith that does no longer know the rights of something of the folk and visa versa... so that's stressful to establish a democratic government... because of this, it is going to take us approximately 2 generations to swap the concepts-set of the folk there as a manner to renowned that folk of all faiths have particular rights, no longer only those of the governing faith... 2 generations.. or approximately 40 years of toiling in the barren region... If congress cuts the investment and forces our troops out then the government will give way and a few variety of vicious dictatorship will take over and there will be chaos for a time.. many harmless lives misplaced.. many ability struggles.. and probably the faiths with the less numbers would be eradicated... so, particular.. this would be political suicide for people who vote for it.

Now wait. It's the Dems that are playing with their lives. They are in a war zone and they(the Dems) want to cut off their money. That is risking lives right there.

Would Bush bring them back if the Dems cut the money. Maybe not.......having private Jones on the news saying 'I've not eaten anything in three days, sense the Dems cut off my money' would have a big impact.

This war is not a personal benefit to the President. If Congress cuts funding, THEY WILL BE THE ONES HURTING our families, (mine included) in Iraq.

Take some time and watch this video. It is an interview with 3 former, now tolerant terrorist who have turned against that way of thinking. This interview was part of the AM Morning program on CN8 in New Jersey. It tells it like it is and will surprise you as to where al Queada is breeding terrorists and where their money is coming from.

So what you are saying is that the Dem's are acting out of conscience to underfund troops in harms way, but Bush is acting out of a selfish need by keeping them there?

People have different ideas. That is why we have political parties and elections. Bush is president. There are reasonable arguements from both sides, and the decision is one based on values and belief in the future course of the world.

He has shown that he will not waiver no matter what anyone says or does.

I don't think it would be to his personal benefit if the funds were cut off and he still stayed the course.

I said before it's a stalemate. The Dems won't cut funding and Bush won't change his mind.
