You bet they do! You do not hear as much about Unix now as you did ten or twenty years ago because nobody is advertising it anymore.

Yes they do. Most of the servers around the world run with a Unix based kernel.

Depends on what your job is but I am a Systems Administrator/Network Engineer and I use UNIX everyday.

I do tech support, and Unix is the main application I use to process trouble tickets.

Yes, it does, it's because it's simple, effective and a lot of people are used to using the OS.

If it's not broken, don't fix it.

It's still primarily used for servers and not for workstation computers.
