I only have a 10 gallon right now and one butterfly gold fish and two snail, one tiger and the other one this random red one with a white-ish shell. Anyway the tank gets so dirty and merky after only one week. what could be making so dirty? and also i ussually just clean it but now i have 6 batches of snail eggs and i'm affraid if i don't clean it my fish will die. So, it's either kill the snail eggs and have a clean tank for my fishy or risk my fish dieing and keeping the snail eggs. is there a way to clean the tank and keep the sail eggs?

Okay the problem probably lies with your goldfish. They tend to make the tank dirty than any other fish. You can try to get an algae eater but it may not help much. Another problem with goldfish is that they give off amonia which will kill the other fish. Most stores don't guarntee any fish that are in the same tank as a goldfish for these reasons. I am not sure about how long snail eggs take to hatch but you could also try to take maybe half the water out and then replace it and keep doing that. I don't now how effective that would be though. Also keep inmind that you should only have about 1-2 inches of fish per every gallon.
the only thinig I know about snails is that my friend had two and eventually her tank was covered with them so you made need to invest in a larger tank!!
The best thing for now would be to buy an algae eater, or check with your local pet store to see if they have a chemical type cleaner. Also try giving smaller amounts of food, as that can be a huge problem as well
Edit: Yes your fish should have a friend, you should always by two of the same type. Two mollies, two sharks don't have to be the same color and stuff just a similar type. And as far as feeding it depends you need to see how much food settles to the bottom, fish usually don't eat the food off the bottom and it is a waste.
I would buy a new tank for the goldfish though never keep them with other water creatures.

Don't buy another fish that will just add to the amount of ammonia going in to the tank, especially when you are already slightly overstocked as it is. Goldfish are very messy, since they don't have stomachs their food just passes right through them which means more waste going into the water. When babies they need 10 gallons all to themself and as adults they really need 20 gallons each.
How often do you clean the tank? How do you clean it? Do you use a gravel vac and how much water do you take out each time? You should use a gravel vac every time you do weekly water changes, try to remove around 20% each week. If you can get a bigger tank too, a 20 gallon would be good but if you would like to get a friend for your goldie then get a 40 gallon.
I don't know why so many people say to get an algae eater, they eat algae (hence their name) not the goldfishs or snails feces, they also make their own so it only adds to it. Another thing about them is most of them grow way too large for a 10 gallon tank.

You have a filter?
Live plants?
The dirtiness is likely from the environment not containing enough 'healthy bacteria' to work on the animal waste and dead plant material. If you do have a filter (changed once a month, roughly) then hold back on fish food for a few days (they'll be fine - they should be good for up to two weeks without food!) - how many depending on how clear the water is getting. This means less 'poop' for the bacteria to deal with. Live plants help too. Change some water every couple of weeks and make sure you also add a bacterial culture product such as "Cycle". You may be giving them too much food anyway. Good luck!

Goldfish put off a lot of amonia and are not good fish to mix with others becuase you tank will get murky so fast. get a better filter, or get a seperate tank for the fish. Make sure to get him a buddy though.

Carbon filter will help - but you should also get one of those algae eaters (I called them scum suckers - every single one I had was named Oscar after the Sesame Street character that lives in a garbage can and eats garbage).
That should keep it a little clean.
I don't know a lot about snails, but are they dirty? Why do I think of slime when I hear snails?
Good luck!

First of all don't lave it by the window or any sun and maybe you need a bigger tank for it is that your fish are getting bigger, and need more room, and yes you need a carbon filter.......
