That's a good question. Let me answer it this way. If a cowpoke doesn't take his time....... and rushes his task at hand......... he usually ends up with a Brokeback Mountain. Yep...... take it slow little doggies. Let that be a lesson to us all.

(why is he poking a cow in the first place. Ewe and I both know sheep are so much easier to deal with. Get a good Ram and then be off on the lamb. Nothing to it)

Hay now, are you poking fun at cowboys? Cause that's a bunch of bull. Don't make me wrangle the truth out of you. I'd get all het up but I think you're just horsing around. How would you like to be saddled with the term "cowpoke?" It would spur you on to lasso a new career. As for the slowpoke remark, that doesn't matter. A good cowboy always enjoys the ride.

Well what else could you possible expect from an old cowpoke except a slow poke. It comes with the territory.
Then the slow poke turns into a nopoke eventually. The question is, can his partner handle that.

A cowboy will wear those real tall boots for a reason. They take the back legs of a small cow and stuff then into the tops of the boots so they cant runaway. Thus the term Cowpoke. I dont think they do it very slow cause I hear their hooves tear up your shins real bad.
