People are not going to change their culture or their name to please you. And this is NOT America. This is the United States OFFFFFFFF America. A country of immigrants, it does not really have its own culture, it has a new sort of crazy culture which is a blend of all.
For example, Cinco De Mayo, U.S. people came up with that holiday, why do you celebrate it if we don't celebrate it in Mexico?? March 17th, everybody dressed in green even if they're not Irish...like I said, its a mix. I'm probably not going to change your opinion, and it's fine, you have a right to it, but I most certainly would not change my mind to please you or the other races for that matter.
Don't talk about Mexicans like that, like if you knew them all, it isn't only Mexicans, you're just pinpointing them because you don't like them, Am I right?? Well I'm Mexican and Ill tell you why we use J's instead of H's. First of all, it is not only Mexicans, it is anybody that speaks Spanish. Our alphabet pronounces the letters by exactly how they sound A- ahh B- b C- kuh, in English, they have specific sounds which don't make really make sense but they are certain rules. A- eyy, B- bee C- cee. A J makes a huh sound, while H is silent. Spanish is a hard language to learn because of all the rules, but they make sense so people can get the jist of it.
As for Jose, it wouldn't be pronounced Hoe-say, it would be Ho-seh, you guys are the ones that pronounce it wrong. How come you can't learn about another culture? Not everything has to fit to you, you know.
It would be better if you could be a little more open minded next time, it'll help you to grow and become a better person and you won't have so many people making bad comments about you. Hopefully I helped you in answering your question. Have a good day and God bless.

the J in spanish is pronounced with an H sound...and have you ever tried to learn spanish??? More examples...why do some white people say warsh instead of wash, why do blacks say ax instead of ask???? Dont just pick on Mexicans, when not everyone speaks "perfect English" If anything i think it makes the people more unique....and im from Texas and i know we dont talk like everyone else....so bottom line, i think your question is dumb, racial and uncalled for

OK, yes this is America and you should speak English, but people that come from Mexico don't know English when they come here. Also the H is silent. LEARN SPANISH BUDDY! THEN YOU WILL KNOW. Like huevos (eggs) you don't say the H you pronounce the U. MAYBE YOU SHOULD LEARN SPANISH! H-hace

ummm....???? There are so many insults in this one, cowboy... I'll just go with the obvious one though, you're not all that bright. It must be entertaining to think up dumb questions and post them to get reactions... Are you ignored? You don't get enough attention? You're single aren't you? You're the not attractive creepy guy that gets caught in the barn with his pants down, aren't you? Your daddy used to beat you and call you gay? You have no life, its apparent by the questions you ask... I feel sad for you, pathetic little man.

Because the J in their language is pronounced as the H in ours.
Completely different way to move your mouth.

Why do many Americans think the world revolves around them? You can't tell people how to speak.

Why do you spell 'english' with the letter 'e' when clearly it's pronounced 'ING-lish'?
I'm sorry, but I don't like idiots in my country. That's my opinion.
