Jan,
.34 is an extremely high alcohol content. I embalmed myself once by consuming a bottle of 151 proof rum in a half hour. My blood alcohol level was .385. I was taken to the hospital where I was monitored for a period of time. The consequences of the act were many. The most obvious is the blackout period where I can not remember anything that happened. I remember waking up in the hospital with iv marks in both arms. I also had high hospital bills that my parents would not pay (nor would they submit them to insurance) I had to pay for them myself. I was 17 at the time.
.30 is more than 3 times the legal limit as has been stated earlier. At .35-.40 coma and systemic shutdown often takes place. Anything over that is usually going to result in death. I consider myself lucky by not having lingering health consequences. I am sorry your father was not so lucky.
His level probably continued to rise once he was admitted at the hospital. For what it is worth, I did not feel any pain during my ordeal. I was unconscious most of the time.

3.4 is very high and your extremely lucky your not 6 feet under and lucky someone at the concert looked out for you and called an ambulance. Vodka is very high in alcohol so only needs to be drunk in small amounts. Don't do this again as you may not be so lucky next time. I hope your getting counselling for your eating problem too. No food and alcohol on an empty stomach is very bad. You need to take better care of yourself and value yourself more.

Sorry to hear about your dad, but yeah .34 is quite high, although most states have a .08 limit on driving, .08 doesn't mean your drunk, it all depends on your tolerance level, i knew a guy that had a Breathalyzer at a party once and there was a couple of people that blew .40, so i don't know if thats alcohol poisoning for sure, it all depends on his build, his tolerance, and well various other factors, but yeah it is quite high

that is high enough for someone to take a trip to the hospital
but make sure that the person driving isn't the one with the alcohol level of .34

As your father's demise shows, that level has a high probability of being lethal. It is more than four times the legal limit for driving a motor vehicle.

It's in the passing out and getting taken advantage of category, and not far below the death or worse just being in a coma and waking up with an IQ of 40 stage.
