Making it mandatory for girls in 6th grade to have the new HPV vaccination.
A bill has been introduced in my home state. I understand other states have similar bills being introduced as well.
Personally, I'm against it. Not only do we not know the long term affects since it's such a new vaccine, but this is not something that is pandemic such as measles, etc. Also, if I'm understanding correctly, the most common way to spread the HPV is through sexual transmission. Sixth graders??? Mandatory???? This is something that should be left to individual decisions.
Oh, and how about the North American Union?? This brings United States, Canada, and Mexico all under one union. I think this is pretty controversial.

I don't know which topics your classmates have taken, but some common ones are creation vs. big bang, abortion, health care, cloning, FDA food labels and how much information they hide/reveal. Those might be taken though! Some off-the-beaten-path ones: Was 9/11 planned in part by the American government? Should Japanese-Americans have been quarantined to camps in the 1940s? Why was Stonehenge created and by whom? If I think of any others, I'll be sure to let you know! Good luck! :)
