In this film there is an appearance of a young boy during a sweeping scene in the living room with Tom Seleck. I have read that it is the image of a boy that died in the flat the movie wwas being filmed in. Is there any veracity to this?

We watched a myth show that said it was a cardboard cut out that the cast stuck in the scene as a joke.

Nah it's been disproved. One of the stagehands left a cut-out of Ted Danson's character leaning up against the wall at the window. The cut-out is seen leaning there in a later scene when he walks up to the window to look out.

And it was filmed on a movie stage, not in an actual flat.
