I play it like a regular guitar, holding it horizontally and picking with my thumb...up and down.
My friend holds it vertically and plays it like a bass only pick upwards with his fingers.
what works best for you? And any other tips/tricks you wanna share (ie - engaging star power without pressing the button)

I use your style for playing.(i've seen a n00b kid holding the guitar with his 4 fingers and pressing the buttons with his thumb,he was hold the guitar like a bonner :D)as for tips,Don't talk!if you talk you are going to lose notes,also use star power by lifting the guitar and only if you have some time to bring it back down to the position you regularly play.finaly,CONSENTRATE.Believe me i got some skillz(i am a local champ :p)
