Are we talking real baseball or fanatsy baseball. If real baseball I take the following:
1) Roy Halliday
2) Jared Weaver
3) Carl Crawford
You can never have enough pitching. I don't believe in Papelbon as a starter yet so he didn't make the list. Halliday is a former Cy Young pitcher and one of the best pitchers in the leage. Weaver is a great young pitcher who can still be better. Crawford is a 5 tool player that can do everything asked of him.
In fantasy baseball, I take:
1) Carl Crawford
2) Justin Morneau
3) Roy Halliday
Crawford contributes in every category, Morneau is a masher, and Halliday is solid. His decreasing K's worry me though.

I guess it depends if you are talking about fantasy baseball or for my favorite team.
Of this list, I would take Carl Crawford 1st. He is a game changer. He is young 5 tool player that already has 4+ years experience.
Next I take Roy Halladay. They say pitching wins championships and here is a guy that is just going to turn 30 this year and already has one Cy Young award in his pocket, and he probably would have another if that Santana guy wasn't around.
Third is a toss-up between Weaver and Papelbon. Both are yound and both have great talent. After the year out of the pen that Papelbon had for the Red Sox, I'm leaning towards him.
If fantasy baseball, I would take Morneau instead. He would be more valuable than Weaver or Papelbon this year.

#1 Roy Halladay, he is a winner proven year after year.
#2 Justin Morneau, the only reason he is number two is because there are better players at his position than him, but he is still solid.
#3 Carl Crawford his speed will get you many steals and at todays age the steal is a stat where about 50 will get you a win.
#4 Jonathon Papelbon He is playing for the Red Sox so wether he is starter or closer he will have many chances for either a win or save.
After that, it is a toss-up as the other 3 really won't help your team out that much.

Roy Halladay - Good proven pitching like this is really hard to find plus he already has a Cy Young
Justin Morneau - Young guy coming off MVP season, how can you not like him
Jonathan Papelbon - Not sure he'll be as good as a starter
Carl Crawford - Playing in TB has hurt him
Jared Weaver - Would be higher except for recent arm problems
Nick Swisher - Strikes out too much
Chone Figgins - Many players like this out there

Crawford-amazing speed, covers a lot of ground in the OF, he will be a machine if he plays for a contending team and with amazing talent around him in the line-up. The Devil Rays just are not cutting it.
Justin Morneau- Young, very good hitter, decent fielder. He will continue to get better.
Weaver or Papelbon- I would lean more towards Weaver only because he has experience in the starting rotation. Both are young healthy pitchers and have strong arms.
Swisher is good, but he needs some work. He is not as good as Morneau imo. Figgins is not consistent enough. Halladay is injury prone. If he can stay healthy he is best pitcher in league imo.

Morneau
Crawford
Swisher
Holliday
Figgins
Paplebon
Weaver
Morneau has to be 1st cuz hrs change games more than steals, but then crawford cuz hes a fast outfielder, gets steals and would give many teams a dimension they lack. Then Swisher, also for the Hrs. Holliday is experienced enough that he oughtta be reliable.
figgins is ok.
paplebon cuz he is good, but hes so low because of his lack of experience. same with weaver.
