Actually, you probably COULD - IF you phrased the request propely. For instance, if you told me to take off all of my clothes, I probably wouldn't do it, since I am a shy person. However, if you told me that I was alone in a bathroom, with the doors closed and it's 102° and I could take a cool shower, I probably would do it.

You can't MAKE anybody so something they wouldn't ordinarily do, if it goes against their conscience or normal compunctions.

I wouldn't try hypnotism to get a person do anything he/she wouldn't ordinarily do, since it is dangerous. I have been hypnotized several times (by a psychiatrist) and have exhibited several heretofore unknown traits and behaviors.

Dr. George H. Estabrooks (1895-1973), speaking as the chaiman of the Department of Psychology of Colgate University, said, "I can hypnotize a man without his knowledge or consent into committing treason against the United States." At the time he made that statement Dr. Estabrooks was one of this nation’s most authoritative voices in the field of hypnotism.

[Estabrooks] worked hard to inform the public that creating an unknowing, robotically obedient, hypnotic subject was possible -- even easy. Estabrooks proposed, over and over, that superspies with one-way amnesia should be created by deliberate personality splitting. An absolutely dependable, unbreakable amnesia for all events under hypnosis is the most essential single element to create an unknowing, authority-controlled hypnotic subject. A split personality is a very hard form of amnesia to overcome.

The perfect deep-cover agent…is the one who doesn’t know he or she is an agent. MK-ULTRA consultant Dr. Milton Kline, a former president of the the American Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, stated he could create a Manchurian Candidate in six months.

it might be, most people think hypnotism is not real, while others know it's real and try it. ive heard of hypnotism doing that, and i do beleive that it could even solve problems. But - you need to be very experienced and extremely patient to be a good enough hypnotist to get someone to be enslaved for very long.
