Children born to parents who are over 25 when they have their first child tend to be more intelligent.
The question here is:
are you ready to start the family?
are you where you want to be financially when you start your family?
are you "on the same page" in terms of how you want to raise the children?

Even if you wait to 30-35, you should be fine. The risks to the fetus start to increase at 35.
You are very wise to think this through. I believe you will have a wonderful family.

First of all, I would discuss this decision thoroughly with your wife. Sometimes seeing a counselor to insure that the right decision is being made would be a good thing. Having a child should never be taken lightly, but I admire your choice to ask medical professionals for advice.

With the advent of many different fertility options, babies are not being born to women as late as their late 40s. However, sometimes the chances of having or passing a genetic defect increases as age increases. If you don't plan to have a child early, your wife may consider having her eggs cryogenitically frozen so that they are available if for some reason later on , the both of you can not conceive. This way in-vitro can occur and the embroyos can be implanted. Women can give birth late in life , however eggs are only produced consistently into menopause. Therefore, this option may help serve you if you decide to have children later.

Having children, at any age, is a hard task. I would insure that you are ready for it at any age, regardless if you want to have them now or wait. There are so many options , luckily due to technological advances, and therefore your decisions are wide open.

Good luck!

One answer I reviewed said that since you don't know how your fertility will be, start now because you never know. This is partly a good answer, because this does come into play for some couples. My thought, however, is that the sooner you start, the better for your relationship with your children because I think the closer in age, the better you can relate to your children. Think about other factors. Once you have one child, it is good to have others soon because they will bond better as siblings if they are closer in age. Also, I gather from your screen name that you are Christian. I suggest you and your wife pray about the timing and ask for wisdom regarding the decision of when (or if) to have children. Not having children is a viable option too. My kids have really been a blessing though, so if you see yourself being good parents, then by all means do have children.

Nothing is wrong with beginning at 29-30 or later! The "magic number" seems to be 35 as far as increased risks of problems; however, lots of women have healthy babies after this age.

Enjoy your time together now and don't rush into anything until you are ready.

Many couples are hectic approximately this now days. you need to commence a family individuals while the two considered one of you're waiting. no longer in basic terms waiting to be mothers and dads, yet in addition financially and emotionally. The older the ladies persons gets into her mid Nineteen Thirties there's a greater hazard of having a toddler born with a delivery illness. through technologies now days like amniocentisis, ultrasounds, blood attempt (Alphafetalprotein) the mothers and dads can tell interior the early levels of being pregnant if there are going to be any problems with the unborn toddler. yet another area of it relatively is the older the mum is the greater stable the wearing of the youngster and the entire birthing technique is on the mum. My suggestion is have your spouse bypass to her OBGYN and make an appointment for pre-concept counseling. it relatively is incredibly stable for the two mom and toddler through fact the Dr does an entire actual examination, blood artwork, family individuals historic previous of genetic abnormalities, and food counseling. The dr will additionally provide your spouse a script for prenatal supplementations that contain greater quantities of folic acid then wide-spread supplementations to ward off neural tube defects like spina bifida. i understand this sounds very complicated and confusing even though that's all worth it interior the top once you carry your alluring wholesome toddler.

Not a medical professional, but I know a woman's fertility decreases every year after about 25, and risks of birth defects increase; however, not dramatically until 35. Pregnancy before 35 is generally considered safer.

maybe right now would be the best time. Is risky to have a child after the age of 35 and because the shorter the age difference between the parents and the children the easier it would be to deal with them later on in life.

If you are 29-30, that is fine. I would say 27 is 3 yrs too late, but you must continue your generation, right?

You shouldn't wait. The sooner you have children the better. You will see your grandchildren more, and if you're lucky, you'll see your great grandchildren. And when you start sooner you have more. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and I would rather have more, so your kids will be happier. They will also be happier with younger parents, I know, being a kid myself.
