Thanks to the person with the first response, but you didn't really answer my question.

I need to know how to add copywright info to an actual mp3 file that I created that is on my computer.

Copyright is automatic as soon as your work is created in a fixed form. I assume that you intend to defend your work against infringement. That requires registration, in the USA the copyright office is the Library of Congress. In order to register a song, it MUST be in a written form, that is sheet music. Hand manuscript is fine. if you don't understand written music you can get help at a community college music department. Congress changed the law that used to allow music recordings to be evidence of publication. You won't need to put a copyright notice in the metadata but it is a good idea.

thr is a way to remove copywriter but I'm 50% not sure it will work, record it in cool edit/ adobe audition or any audio recording software thn save it... hope it helps
