Without a doubt, my favorite D.A. is Adam Schiff.

He was not as active, vocal or opinionated as the other D.A.'s, but when he acts, it's powerful. I love the opisodes where he talks to or confronts a colleague who's giving McCoy a hard time. Great drama there.

I wish he is still the show, but I know, how old is he now, 90 or something?

It's just that, I really cannot stand the current D.A., played by the Republican Fred Dalton Thompson. He's one of the reasons why I stopped watching the new episodes and stuck to the reruns.

Adam Schiff is definitely my favorite DA. The current DA is too political. I don't know if real DAs are actually that obsessed with getting re-elected all the time, but I'd like to think not. I'd like to think that they're more like Adam Schiff, concerned with getting justice.

McCoy's character is amazing in his pursuit of justice, but someone like him wouldn't be a DA because he's unelectable. He's perfect in the position he holds right now and is most effective as an EADA. I worry about what'll happen to the show after McCoy leaves (I said the same about Detective Brisco; no one has been as good since him).

Definitely Adam Schiff. Jack McCoy is my favorite character on the show overall though. :-)

i've got not got a regularly occurring, yet I might desire to declare that SERENA replaced into basically undesirable. She basically looked so lost al of the time. I enjoyed Cary Lowell (BOND woman) and Angie Harmon ("I say, hold close all of them!), besides as Claire. yet Paul Robinette replaced into relatively cool too, back in the day.

i agree, thompsons character does'nt back up mcCoy nearly as often or as fiercely as adam did,and he always seems more concerned how the outcome will make him look personally.
