roundtown is a term that was used to refer to a schoolboy
informal baseball pick-up game in the early 1900's. it also refers
to a poem that aided in funding the york baseball for boys program . finally it was a term used in a song that was about
baseball. there is of course "rounders" the game originating in
europe but not necessarily child related. i hope this is helpful.

We played this game in rural Pike County Kentucky in 40's and 50's. Rules similar to Town Ball.
