Here it is nearly the end of February and I still have Christmas presents to deliver! The problem is these friends of ours (me & hubby) bought us presents and left them at my office for me in January - they were late also. I was not at office - just got them then next day I went to work. Well...I bought them presents but never see them or get to their neighborhood....do I forget about it or mail or what?!?!?! We were at onetime good friends but over the years never see or hear from eachother except birthdays and Christmas and it just feels like we buy presents because we feel we have to! The husbands are still good friends....but not us wives and I'm not sure where to go with all of this. HELP!!!!!

I think if you still expect or want to get something next year for christmas I would just send them beings you already bought them girfts anyways. They are probably expecting them anyways since you always give them something. I'd just send them if it were me.

I'd either set aside some time to deliver the present or mail it. You went through all the trouble of buying it, after all. And if your husbands are still friends...perhaps you might set up a date for both families to get together? Superbowl Sunday, or even just some random day...invite them over for dinner, just to catch up. If nothing was wedged between you and your friend except time apart, then time together should mend that. Why let a perfectly good friendship go to waste?

Well, it's silliness buying presents for people you never see. Stop the cycle now. Use them or take the items back to the store.

drop them in the mail if you want to give them to them. but on the other hand if you don't give them a present maybe next year they won't bother with a gift for you and this whole fiasco of buying gifts for each other will stop.

Mail them with an apology.
