My husband and I are considering trying to conceive within the next few months. Other than pre-natal vitamins, is there anything else to consider?

Well, according to my Dr. the best thing that you can do is pre-natal vitamins (oreferrable ones with lots of folic acid), good diet with lots of fruits, veggies, and dairy along with some lean meats also. She also advised to get some exercise and make sure you are in shape physically. She also advised to be be mentally prepared for everything that pregnancy and childbirth will bring into your life. That is about all she said as far as what to consider before trying to conceive. She said to just have fun with it and not to get stressed out if it does not happen right away. There is also a good website that you can check out called pregnancy.org-they have lots of good tips for pre-conception through childhood. Hope this helps!

Eating a healthy diet consisting of fruits and vegetables as well as other healthy foods. Also quitting drinking or smoking if either of those are an issue for you, or getting your husband to quit, if that's an issue. Also, you may want to find an OB doctor since you'll need to start prenatal care right away. And don't forget to continue exercising! Good luck to you!

Well if you need help conceiving you should always check your menstrual calendar and figure out the top 2 days where you'll be ovulating and will have the most chance of getting pregnant. I don't know how to do this exactly but if you go to your doctor or OB/GYN they will help you plan it out.
