A living will is always a good idea, especially if you have children. In the unfortunate event that something happened to you, do you really want your children to have to make important healthcare decisions for you (i.e. whether or not to turn of life support, put you on dialysis, etc). With a living will, your pre-decided decisions would be abided by, and your wishes would be respected.

What you think you want or what you think would be best, may not be what your family would decide in the heat of the moment. Make it easier on everybody all around, and have a living will drawn up.
