I'd guess it's "Breed" from Nirvana's 'Nevermind' album.
Dude doesn't say "RUN away" but does repeat 'Get away, get away, get away ...blah blah blah."

There is an early 90's band called "Damn Yankee's" and the song is thier title cut from the album called Damn Yankee and those lyrics are in the song. Check them out if you don't know who they are. They have Ted Nugent on guitar, Tommy Shaw from the band Styx on guitar, and Jack Blades from the group Night Ranger on vocals. That might be the song you are refering to.

I think the name of the song you're talking is called "tainted love" i'm not sure who sings it. I love that song too.
