i'm usually on a 24 day cycle, and today marks day 28, and still no period - very unusual.
my breasts really hurt, and i've taken 2 hpts, but they have both came out neg?

I would give it couple more days and test again. If still negative the most accurate test is the blood test.

Some women don't get a positive HPT for a week or so after their missed period. But if the suspense is driving you crazy, I suggest going to your doctor and letting them give you a blood test. You will know for sure then. I hope you get the answer that you want! :o)

I don't want to get your hopes up, but maybe you dont' have enough of the pregnancy hormone in your urine for it to register on a HPT. I would retest in 5 days if you haven't had your period by then. Or you can go to the doctor and get a blood test.

sometimes it takes longer for the pregnancy hormone to show up in large enough quantities. Just be patient and test again in a week or two, or simply go to a Dr. and have them give you a blood test. If you are pregnant you'll want to go to a Dr. anyway. Good luck.
