Chinua Achebe,,THINGS FALL APART?
at the begining of part2, when Okonkow flees to his motherland for protection, can u please explane the relation between the treatment of women in the novel and the "mother supreme" principle expressd by Okonkwo's kinsman ? any resourses will be v welcome!

Hi Day, probably you should read the text and explain the principle yourself. Simply put, although the society is obnoxiously patriarchal (Okonkwo believes it the man on top when children are made), it is ironical that it strictly observes the supremacy of mothers (mother is supreme principle) as when Okonkwo has been banished from his fatherland, he has to take refuge in the land of his mother's people. Expand this argument and turn in the assignment.
