They feel like having a fishcicle, but because fishcicles are frozen, they don't bite the hook. Having one pre-caught is easier.

the reason people do not fish in cold weather too much is the fish dont bite as the temp drops the fish are less likely to feed so it is allmost useless to fish in the cold weather
