Before Oprah there was:

"Who was America's first self-made female millionaire?
Sarah Breedlove Walker was born in 1867 to former slaves in northeast Louisiana. Orphaned at a young age, she made her way to St. Louis and supported herself as a washwoman for 18 years. A scalp condition caused some of her hair to fall out, and she experimented with a variety of homemade concoctions in an effort to regrow her hair. When new hair sprouted, it was soft and shiny, and her friends asked to try some of her miracle formula. There were virtually no hair products available specifically for African-Americans at the time, and Sarah saw a business opportunity. She found she had a knack for marketing, and before long she founded the Madam C. J. Walker Manufacturing Company with her husband, Charles Joseph Walker. Sarah tirelessly sold her product door-to-door and recruited other women to do the same. By 1910 she had over 1,000 sales agents, which gave her time to develop new products, such as hair conditioners and facial creams. The woman who had $2 to her name when she arrived in St. Louis was a millionaire by 1914."

"Among the notable Black women cited are Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander, the first Black woman to receive a doctorate in economics and the first to practice law in Pennsylvania; ex-slave Elizabeth Denison Forth, who bequeathed her fortune to build a church in an exclusive, White community; Carlotta Stewart-Lai, principal of a multiracial Hawaiian elementary school in 1909; and Madam C.J. Walker, the first self-made U.S. woman millionaire."

i think of possibly it must be that alot of ladies are truthfully born into what we call old money. yet, that is to no longer say that they did no longer gain fulfillment on their own. Alot of ladies are born out of royalty, to boot. working example, John McCain's spouse. Or senator Kerry's spouse. ( Beer co. and Heinz co.) just to call a pair. regardless of the undeniable fact that, women are growing to be up everywhere. Tis a sturdy ingredient. and that they are, by way of their own advantages. does not help to have only somewhat an facet, nevertheless. compliment to all women.
