IMO Killian is a beautiful Irish name, I love it. But maybe James Killian would be better, then when he gets older he can choose, and he won't get teased. I have never heard of a beer called Killian, all I know is it's a lovely Irish name. It also has ties to an old Native American word for river, too.
Go with your gut! There are worse names you could give the little guy, like maybe Mango, or Raine. :)

I like Killian James. I also like James Killian.
Killian is an Irish Gaelic name that means "Church-goer" or "Brilliant Hair", I prefer church-goer. You could use it as a teaching experience for those who question the meaning. :)
No, I didn't know it was a beer. In our family, we don't use nicknames at all so no one would call my child "Kill" as a nickname anyway. I have children with names people LOVE to change to nicknames, but, people have asked if they go by a nick, we just tell them No and they respect that. No problems at all here. 14+ years of parenting experience.

James is a classic name, it's nice. Killian on the other hand... doesn't sound so nice. I've never heard it before, though. It just doesn't sound nice with James. If you do go with Killian, pick another unique name for the middle name.

I am with everyone else in that Killian is a beer and that is what I think of when I hear that..... But if you like it, then go ahead.... How about James Killian instead, if you really want to go with that name?

Sorry, not big on Killian. I think that the personalitys of children form around their name. Think about the men that you admire most in your life, even if it someone that you've never met, say a movie star. Pick a good strong name for your son. I like Zack, Zeke. Travis
