Are there any movie/media players that improve poor video quality?

I have some movies that the quality distorts when I put the movie in "fullscreen" mode. Are there any players out there that can improve video quality?

windows media is perfect. that's what i use anyway. or perhaps you could use itunes. you can watch videos/movies whatever you feel like calling them, on that. good luck;) x
